Hunter Tylo



Hunter Tylo, born Deborah Hunter and sometimes credited as Deborah Morehart, was born in Fort Worth, Texas on July 3, 1962. After finishing her primary education, Hunter Tylo moved to New York to attend Fordham University. She was a pre-med major who hoped to become a veterinarian, and to earn money began auditioning for commercials. This vaulted her into a career in show business rather than veterinary medicine. In 1985 she was cast as Robin McCall on the ABC soap opera All My Children. She left the show in 1987.

Her next role was on the NBC soap opera Days Of Our Lives and in 1989 she was cast on the new soap opera The Bold and The Beautiful on CBS. She played the role until 2002 when Hunter Tylo left the soap opera to pursue other acting opportunities. In addition to her role on the soap opera she has appeared in several made for television movies. Hunter Tylo returned to The Bold and The Beautiful in 2005.

Hunter Tylo has been nominated for several awards for her portrayal of Dr. Taylor Hayes including two Soap Opera Digest Awards (both for Hottest Female Star) and she was given the Telvis Award for Foreign Female TV Performer in 2002.

In 1987, Hunter Tylo married Michael Tylo. The two separated in 2005; they have three children. Hunter Tylo has another child from a previous relationship.

Hunter Tylo is the founder of Hunter’s Chosen Child, which helps pregnant women who are financially challenged. She also helped to form Retinoblastoma International, a foundation which researches the rare cancer. She also worked to enact a California bill that ensures children have their eyes checked as part of their routine six-week exams.
